Subject: After reading the Mars Perspective... In reading the thoughts expressed here, I felt a great deal of optimistic hope. There is a lot of idealism expressed here; opening a new frontier, shedding the loads of society on Earth, colonies forming and being run in cooperation between nations- all heroic and noble visions. I only hope that the ones who are in position to actuate future endeavors also share these visions. I think back into history. Often it was the desire for riches or escape from persecution that drove people to new frontiers. And when they arrived, they had not shed the emotional, cultural, nor political loads.
