Live From Mars!

It isn't, but it can be . . . hand held.

On July 4, 1997 Man will again land on Mars.
This time we will also roam around a bit with a remote rover!

Using Apple Computer's QuickTime VR ,we get to see what the landing site area looks like as if we were there! This Virtual Reality "movie" was created using NASA Viking data, KPT Bryce (A 3D rendering program), and Apple's QuickTime VR Technology.

If your browser has the QuickTime PlugIn you can stand on Mars and look 360 degrees around as if you were there. I know you don't like getting PlugIns but believe me this one is worth it!

Place your mouse cursor inside the above picture and click and drag left or right. Press OPTION to zoom in and CONTROL to zoom out.

To get the new browser plugin (v1.1) click here: Apple Computer's QuickTime VR Technology Then click on SOFTWARE for a list for Mac, Windows 3.1 and Win 95 depending on what computer you are using.
